ANIMAL CRUELTY PREVENTION

Treat others the way you want to be treated, including animals.

What is the Problem?

How many cases of animal abuse do you think happens per year? According to petpedia.co, in every 60 seconds, one animal suffers from mistreatment. Over 65% of all abused animals are dogs. In the United States alone, 10 million animals die from abuse EACH year.

Why Should I Care?

Many people might not know or even care about this problem, but if you look at it from a larger perspective, animal mistreatment also affects people as well. According to MSPCA-Angell, studies show that "a person who has committed animal abuse is: 5 times more likely to commit violent acts against people, 4 times more likely to commit property crimes, and 3 times more likely to be involved in drunken/ disorderly offenses."

How Are We Fighting This Problem?

There are many programs, organizations, volunteer groups, etc that help raise money to support the protection of these animals. Organizations such as ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruetly to Animals) contribute to this cause by implementing animal rehab centers, animal rescue, animal placement/adoption, etc.
